Set of 6 Italian Sorrento Inlaid Nesting Tables Vintage Mid Century Music Boxes

This very rare set of six vintage Italian Sorrento inlaid tables, dating to the 1960s Mid-Century period, offers exceptional craftsmanship and versatility. Each table functions as an individual side table and features a lift-up lid with internal storage, complete with its original built-in music box.

When nested together, the six tables form a striking hexagonal coffee table or centrepiece, creating a dramatic and highly unusual display. Italian craftsmen decorated each table in a Renaissance-inspired style, richly inlaying satinwood and boxwood across walnut veneers, all supported by solid walnut tapering legs with gently out swept feet.

Both decorative and functional, this remarkable Sorrento set represents a fascinating and increasingly hard-to-find example of mid-century Italian decorative furniture.
