Vintage mid century polished stone and silver lamp

An amazing and striking lamp, possibly Moroccan in origin, bought in France this very heavy and wonderfully attractive lamp is made from exotic polished hardstones, deep orange in colour. The shade is very thick and one piece and appears to be a coloured resin. The shade and small areas of the base are profusely decorated in highly detailed silver mounts (probably solid silver, typical of the Moroccan area where we believe this originated), the base is also a solid one piece casting in silver, in all a very rare and striking piece that cannot fail to be a great talking point! 67cm high
