Beautiful and wonderfully opulent Louis XV style French commode chest of two drawers. Of very large and useful dimensions this ornately veneered chest displays wonderful exotic woods and floral marquetery inlays. Complimented by extensive intricate patinated bronze appliques and handles. Two generous drawers, the lower incorporating the shaped apron and central applique, each has a lock and original ornate key. A super quality mid c piece with solid Oak carcass and drawers, already a heavy piece without the enormous double stepped and shaped marble top, a true focal point piece of furniture! Stamped with a makers mark which unfortunately we can’t decipher.
